There are a lot of reasons why your website should be mobile friendly. Have you ever grabbed your phone and gone to your own website? Have you ever used a friend's phone, someone who has the opposite operating system than you (i.e. if you have an iPhone, have you checked out your site on an Android device?). Have you viewed your website from different devices, in different browsers?
If you haven't, you could be missing out. Having a mobile friendly website is crucial to your success.
First of all, studies are now showing that over 50% of consumers in North America do some form of product/service research on their cellular devices or tablets before purchasing. If your website is hard to look at or navigate from a customers perspective, they are going to bounce, and bounce fast.
Secondly, Google is starting to favour businesses and services that are mobile friendly. You aren't mobile friendly, you can say goodbye to your hard earned rankings and quality scores. Google introduced a mobile update on April 21, that many are calling "mobilegeddon,"
Google is going to start rewarding websites that are mobile friendly across all platforms.
Want to stay in the game? Make sure your website is available on all mobile devices, across all platforms and operating systems, all the time.

Welcome to digital digest. This is where I'm going to post all the things that I find awesome in the world of digital marketing. Everything from tips and tricks, best practices, to current news and updates.
What is digital marketing? Well, its pretty similar to regular marketing, but using digital technology. It is the marketing of products or services using digital technology to a consumer. Why does it matter? Well, people are starting to do the majority of their research for products online, and many people won't look past the first page of google search results. So if you aren't present on the internet, you aren't going to be found.
One of my favourite quotes sums it up the best.
Business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you're doing, but nobody else does. - Steuart H. Britt
